PAUL JABOULET AINE

It was love at first sight. One look at the stunning hillside terroir hugging the banks of the Rhône, and there was no going back – the Jaboulet family were mesmerised.

Maison Paul Jaboulet Ainé was founded in 1834 by Antoine Jaboulet (1807-1864) in Tain l'Hermitage, and continued to thrive under the leadership of his sons, Paul and Henry. In 2006 the Maison was taken over by the Frey family, experienced Champagne producers and owners of Château La Lagune in Bordeaux. Caroline Frey, the eldest daughter and oenology graduate from Bordeaux University, makes no secret of the fact that her goal is perfection, and that the best is yet to come. She and her team tend their vineyards and make their wines with meticulous precision.
