The UMVR Board

The UMVR Board is fully authorised to act on behalf of the UMVR wherever and whenever necessary, to uphold and protect its interests either against a third party or before any appropriate authority. 

Responsibilities also include researching new ways to support the wine and spirits trade, taking action and making formal complaints where necessary, and monitoring actions and complaints brought by third parties. The Board are authorised to take any appropriate measures to further the interests of UMVR members and oppose any that may be detrimental, by law if necessary.

Board Members

There are 21 board members, elected by the General Assembly (AGM) for a term of 3 years, after which they may stand for re-election at the next AGM.  
The Board of Directors is headed up by

The president, vice-presidents, treasurer and secretary general are elected for 1 year, after which they may also stand for re-election.
